Task = when you"re a part of a sports team and like the same sport, the members will likely get along because they have something in common. Increasing member awareness they belong to the group. How group members are expected to behave. Norms in a group in uence the members and their behaviour. Norms distinguish what is important or not important to a group. When members conform to group norms, they know what to expect of each other groups act in di erent ways and based of of a type of group, their behaviour can be predicted. Basic propositions : one group has to lose for another to gain. Group cohesion and making propositions about other groups.
