Sexual relations between an adult male and a (prepubescent) boy (around. Anal intercourse is the most likely sexual activity with adult male as inserter. These relationships were very common in ancient greece but anal intercourse was supposedly uncommon and was only with slaves or captive soldiers to degrade them, instead intercourse was between the thighs. The man-boy relationship (sexual) was non coercive and the ideal model of their educational system. A man would select a boy of equal class and offer his father to supervise his education. If the man was in good standing the father would happily agree and the boy would consider himself lucky. An honour to be chosen, shame not to be chosen. For the man, choosing a boy was his civic duty. Socrates, plato, aristotle all had chosen boys to educate. There are two roles in this relationship; Erastes; the man 20+ years of age, the educator, the mentor, the admirer, dominant.
