Francisco is cold, tired and apprehensive from guarding the castle for many hours: he thanks bernardo and gets ready to go home to go to bed. Soon after francisco leaves, marcellus (another watchman) and horatio (friend of prince. Bernardo and marcellus have convinced horatio to stand on guard with them because they believe they have something shocking to show him. Ho(cid:396)atio does(cid:374)"t (cid:396)eall(cid:455) (cid:271)elie(cid:448)e the(cid:373: then the ghost appears before them and vanishes just as fast. Horatio is terrified: acknowledges that the ghost does resemble the late king hamlet. Even wears the armour king hamlet wore when he battled against the armies of norway.
