Adrenal cortex secretes steroids eg. acth (secreted by the pituitary gland) cause the secretion of corticosteroids by the adrenal cortex. The following are some of the disorders of the endocrine system: Diabetes chronic endocrine disorder in which the body is unable to manufacture or properly use insulin type 1: the pancreas doesn"t produce enough insulin type 2: body doesn"t properly use insulin. Hypothyroidism abnormally low tsh production; fatigue, weight gain, depression, etc.
