Canada supreme court was still run by the british until after ww1. Fought has a dispute between two populations (africana"s (dutch south africans) and. British had banned slavery but south african population still had slavery. Canada was a key part of the empire. British would come to canada to live and to farm. Discussion of this war as there was for ww1. Canada was playing the role as a royal imperial subject. This was canada"s debut on the world stage. Many of early leaders were not born in canada. But we had a lot of indigenous peoples. Fighting in the war was not supported by everyone.
