Democracies do not want to go to war against each other. Globalization, conflict and the capitalist peace: wrong or not notable. Criticisms led to changes to theory liberal democracy, no war against each other. Maybe one thing matters: not democracy: norman angell: the great illusion ensure future peace. More trades, inter commerce, less likely to go to war. After ww1 and ww2, its theory often suggested that capitalism is maybe linked to war: not causing peace: marx and lenin, theories of rivalry: capitalism create imperialism and leads to rivalry between states. Marx: capitalism, class conflict, system meshed in conflict, trouble, then it is replaced. Governments try to preserve order, protect system. Lenin: externally projecting economic problems: find new markets, conquer new land. Krisher: bankers want stability, to make profit from investments. War: investors unsure of profit, tell governments to avoid it.
