We have very little information about development of sexual preferences so looking at. Cs may help us to understand where adulthood sexual preferences come from. Some researchers think that children are asexual but it has been proven that children are sexual: some children masturbate and others become interested in where babies come from. Retrospective research: has a lot of memory bias of individuals remembering back to childhood. Directly observe behaviour: this can be illegal, behaviour can occur too infrequently to gather information. Ask parents/caregivers: can be reluctant to give info about their child, could la(cid:271)el (cid:271)eha(cid:448)iou(cid:396) as se(cid:454)ual (cid:449)he(cid:374) it"s (cid:374)ot. Ask children directly: child may not understand what is being asked of them, some cannot respond eg. infants cannot answer.
