Hindu traditions (hinduism derived from sind the name of the river of sindhu) Hinduism is associated with diverse philosophies, arts and practices of communities of people who have some connection with the indian subcontinent. Dharma for hindus means righteousness, justice, faith, duty, religious and social obligation, but it does not cover all that is sacred in specific contexts for hindus. Hinduism grew from a fusion of the religions of the indus valley with the faith of the aryans. Other theorists say that indo-europeans migrated into india from other parts of asia; others insist there is evidence that indian subcontinent was their original land. The harappa culture extends beyond the indus basin itself. The people of the harappa culture had a written language, were good builders who lived in planed cities. In the harappa culture objects were buried with the dead bodies to serve the dead in an afterlife.
