To find out about the factors that can affect success and failure in business. Positive: eg binding contractual party to promise. Some decisions impose liability, others create opportunities. Rules and laws: not all laws are rules and vice versa office rule: don"t wear too much cologne but it"s not the law. Morality and law: blind man will fall down a building - the law does not compel you to help the man but your morals might. Eg damaged friendships or reputation legal wrongs are formally sanctioned. Civil law jurisdictions: some countries revolve around the roman system and they have a civil court - published rules etc.
