How much sleep do we need: most people, 7-10 hrs, students, 9 hrs, babies, 16 hrs, elderly, less sleep then average people. What happens when you don"t sleep: affects mood, sleep deprivation, paying attention, slow reaction times, hallucinations. Rem (rapid eye movement: occurs during stage 5, when vivid dreaming takes place, non-rem sleep occurs during stages 1-4.
