We can"t solve these problems because we are always focused on ourselves. We have so many faults in our thinking (bias, etc. ) Thought is only powerful when there is a large knowledge base. Being aware of the reasoning and factors involved in making a decision. Critical thinking is the opposite of non directive thinking. Unaware of what you are thinking of - as many people are.
