The way society is structured afects how we behave. How the world is organized inluences human behaviour. Marx believed that throughout history, there has been a conlict between two groups: those who control the means by which people survive, and those who don"t. Power that explains why people do what they do. Conlict: power and wealth (equality is not seen between rich and poor) Communism- (private property is abolished, {no more}, no longer existed) Marx believed society evolves and eventually we would return to a state from which we originated. Marx"s focus was mainly on capitalism during the industrial revoluion in britain. In capitalism, marx saw society in terms of a conlict between economic classes: Those who owned the means of producion (bourgeoisie), and the workers (proletariat) There are few owners; most people are workers. The bourgeoisie and the proletariat have conlicing interests.
