Homosexuality regulated as mental health prboelm (category in dsm) 1948 criminal code amendment regarding sexual psychopaths. Gay people could be incarcerated if thought that they were at risk of acting on sexual orientation. Said if gay, could not be allowed in canada. Gay sexual offenders would be labelled as so & could be incarcerated for indefinite amount of time.
