Claim has to have evidence, explain your gut feeling without explaining you can"t argue it. Just because you say something, doesn"t make it true you have to prove it. There are objective realities to poems: and poets articulate emotions and bridge subjective and objective realities, ex. Claims + evidence = argument: evidence: literary devices. Can"t just say anything, one has to prove it in order to make it real for other people. Happy is up that"s how we think of it, ex. Sad is down, i fell into depression. Unconsciously we think of happy as up, and sad as down.
