But we overlook crucial ways power is understood by not thinking about the ways industry executives, politicians, and citizens talk about who should do the work, how the work should be done, the effect of the work. Thinking about politics leads to thinking abou the ideas animating seasonal agricultural work. And about the ways political socialization, political agency,, and public opinion are influenced. We see the presence of ideology in many places. Famously marx used the term ideology negatively. Today we use the term ideology negatively to denote dogmatism. We will use the term neutrally an ideology is neither good nor bad. To subscribe to an ideology is to see the world and human nature in a particular way. Understand the world we live in (cause and effect relations) Understand the role and importance of human nature.
