Females often drop out of sports in fear that they will be assumed to be lesbian. Gay men and lesbians reported outright confrontation. Homosexual discrimination: makes it difficult to come out in a sports setting, Lgbtq youth experience the same stress and developmental changes as everyone else, but also have to deal with being part of a stigmatized group.
