Document Summary

Mosaic of paul: according to our description of paul, he was not very attractive. When we get into his letters we will see that his appearance plays against him. In fact, may have had epilepsy or a problem with his eye. Although an intellectual, very forceful, his appearance played against him. Paul the man: was born jewish, never abandoned this heritage. Wanted to uphold the tradition of the father. Problem christianity was not a religion at this point, so no conversion from one religion to another. He heard a specific voice/call, similar to call some prophets received in hebrew scriptures (i. e. jeremiah). Paul, so there is a debate about this still today. If you look at the new testament, most books are by paul or deemed to be written by paul. 13 are deemed to have been written by paul. Authentic: romans, first book after acts by paul is romans. Romans, because ordered first, doesn"t mean written first.
