Culture encompasses the ideas, values, practices, and material objects that allow a group of people, even an entire society, to carry out their collective lives in relative order and harmony. All groups have culture ( human groups ) Everything we do is informed by culture, even our most biologically based practices. Knowledge of common culture leads to behaviour in similar ways, and adapt similar ways of looking at the world. (similarities/ commonalities) Newcomers to a certain culture are taught its basic elements. Culture generates predictability- predictable beings, the expected, creativity, predictability. Culture is constantly being affected by both internal and external changes to the group.
