Document Summary

Ability to resist fatigue or sustain the level of force production in strength performance of longer duration. Repetitive forceful skeletal muscle contractions of submaximal loads. Low resistance, many reps (> 15 rm) measure of muscular. Most tests of muscular endurance are quite practical. Adaptions due to repetitive contractions: muscle size little to no change, strength slightly increase (due to neurogenesis especially if done early) o muscle fatigability decrease (can go longer) lomoarcpsd. Submaximal resistances measure time or number of reps perform rst in training cycles to reduce risk of injury lomoarcpsd: tendons strengthen (also occurs in strength training) Repetitive contractions result in metabolic adaptions to supply a continuous supply of energy, thus: increased number of mitochondria, increased stored glycogen & fats, increased aerobic enzymes especially for fat metabolism, thus conserving muscle glycogen, increased capillaries. Strength is maximum force a muscle can generate in a single contraction no time limit.
