Purpose: move an object into another teams territory in order to score on a fixed (ft) or open-ended target (oet, simultaneously trying to prevent possession/scoring by opponent. Conditions: two teams with equal #"s of players, pre-set time limit. Strategies: possession does not equal scoring (examples) Scoring on your own net: pre-set time limit. As a means to stop opposition progress. Strategy or tactic: opening and closing space. Don"t want big space between defenders and net/goal: gives them more space to score, can pass, more time to make a decision. Can i get into position to prevent scoring. Can i push you away from scoring chance. Purpose: teams/individuals hit an object into a court space with sufficient accuracy that opponents cannot hit it back. Uses a wall, ball stays in play, surrounded by walls: divided vs. shared. Volleyball, you cant step under the net on the opposing teams side, deemed unsafe: hand vs. implement.
