Describe what udl is, who benefits and why it matters. People will talk about what constitutes udl in different ways using slightly different definitions. Cast defines udl as a set of principles for curriculum development that gives all individuals equal opportunities to learn. Udl provides a blueprint for creating instructional goals, methods, materials and assessments that work for everyone not a single, one size fits all solution but rather flexible approaches that can be customized and adjusted for individual needs. Now we will watch the video udl at a glance. This video provides a nice overview of udl and the 3 principles we will be examining in more detail in later screencasts and in class. As you watch the video consider the following focus questions. Research shows that the way people learn is as unique as their fingerprints.
