A lot of the mysterious concepts involve egypt. Trying to explain how we got to where we are. They all have one thing in common: all these myths saw an early civilization in egypt. Atlantis: fled to egypt with their technologies. Egypt can be viewed as the beginning of civilization. Kind of false to say that egypt is the birthplace of civilization. We don"t see egypt to have a complex system. Development of agriculture is responsible for lifting egypt into the grand civilization we see now. Its not a fluke that egypt developed the way it did. Ability of agriculture to explode in this area is the reason we see egypt as a place of civilization. A thin sliver of fertile green land, as the north surrounded entirely by desert. This is the only place in the area that has the ability to produce food. Nile valley: has a beneficial property, it floods annually and very regularly.
