The incas worked with labour and reciprocity when they didn"t use money. Irrigation : transferring water from the main source. They would send their irrigation specialist, one of the things the incas did perfectly. They moved people around to get most of it. And collection features ( not as common for the incas) It showed their engineering skills and environmental management. You need to control the amount of water- all the water coming out of the mountain. They made zig zag lines that controlled the water system. However later in their travel, there was a vertical hill where they would tumble the stone down the hill. After this hill, they had to transport the rock through the river. There was a slippery ground which made it easier to pull the rock. It was actually easier to get the rock across than imagined. Used stones as hammers and chaping other stones.
