Even though we don"t ha(cid:448)e a (cid:272)lass o(cid:374) the father bro(cid:449)(cid:374) stories, (cid:449)e (cid:449)ill still (cid:271)e tested o(cid:374) the(cid:373) i(cid:374) the readi(cid:374)g test later so (cid:449)e did(cid:374)"t read the(cid:373) for (cid:374)othi(cid:374)g. We see in dorothy sayers some of what helped to shape detective stories. Father brown: the woman who is so blind that she can walk into an elevator shaft is the victim of two criminals, not the typical detective, dumpy kind of guy, armchair detection.
