Chisholm states that there is a way for you to cause things without being in virtue of the way you are you cause the decision. The biggest concern from others about chisholm"s agent causation is that they simply don"t understand what it is/how it works. It is enough of a worry that we should look for another solution. Thinks that we have genuine free will of the sort that allows us to be morally responsible for our actions. Doesn"t want to resort to chisholm"s agent causation. She thinks she has an account to satisfy all her beliefs/concerns. Some event x indeterministically causes x2 (different event) but doesn"t determine it. Event x could happen without x2 always happening after. Striking a match against the match box causes it to light. Can be seen/confused as indeterministic causation because sometimes when you light a match it doesn"t light. It is not indeterministic causation, it is partial causation.
