1: dynastics: safavid 1500-1722 ( conversion to shiism) A result of confrontation between kurt and other islam groups. Iran was invaded by britain and the russian. These two powers during the war accepted each other. British invention was also met by another challenge; during the war, they deprived their population from so many things in order to put war effort. Eventually you have a very strong demand after the war, from people , wanted stuff they have been deprived of during the war. Ex; they would get 1-2 eggs a week. All of these colonial powers began to feel the earth shaking under them- they have to send the boys back home: tobacco concession 1890, constitutional revolution 1506, oil concession, 1911. Today: summary, riza khan shah policies, etc. , the great conspiracy- imam containment policy- ajax- savak. Was able to gather a group of intellectuals and members of the bazar. Created an urban motivatd movement which was very nationalist.
