State: de nition : most highly debated concept - no single consensus based way of de ning state, spacial entities: it"s a geographical entity that occupies physical location - has a concrete geography that is comprised on territory ! As an entity that occupies space - we can locate these spaces by latitude & longitude ! We can distinguish one state from another because of their spacial boundaries !
