It is a great phenomenon that syria had a regime which was stable for so many decades. It was partly stable because of the international sector that syria relied on. Syria was known for it"s coups who have paid the way for the stabilization of situations. The coups devised its own policies, established itself and regional policies in syria. However, the challenge was not only between israel and syria. Israelis have a strong army, economy and relationships with the remaining superpowers in the world. Reverse civilization those countries that depend on the flow of the water who are usually agricultural countries. For them to be successful, they need to have an good agricultural system. Before this, egypt was fragmented in the hands of others. Now, with muhammad ali in power, there is a central authority (he wasn"t a very educated man) but had power.
