They reject things like fact to be exact. Different ways of understanding the world emerge in stages. Kids at different stages will view the world differently. Stages periods of acquisition and periods of consolidation. Periods of acquisition: begin to understand the world. Periods of consolidation: when the understating becomes more and more routine and balanced. Mechanism of development drive towards equilibration through processes of assimilation and accommodation. We don"t stay at balance for long.
