When india gained independence, it decided to no longer recognize the queen. Sikh"s having their own kingdom seemed like a threat to indira, therefore she attacked the. One reason why people hated her: she was killing people for internal political reasons. Gandhi family was wealthy but their political position has still declined, they are still influential, however. In the 1800s, the british did introduce new farming technologies. But the real advancements in agriculture didn"t come until the 20th century when we learned to design plants by making hybrids. Problem with hybrids is that they needed artificial fertilizers to be able to do what they"ve been designed to do.
