A city like london skyrocketing of a city of 6 million people. With the rise of industrialization, you needed more people in a small space. You have to understand the main industries of cities to understand the cities. Cities have been undergoing landscapes of production which has lead into. Baltimore: city based around its ports, was a major access to shipping industry. Where once we were producing things, we are now consuming things. Simmons building, a part of the larger project called the east village . The largest urban development project in the city. The land will turn into an urban neighbourhood. East village is not based around a major source of development. Now, neighbourhoods are based on consumption, spaces that allows the consumption of cultural forms. We also have a brand new calgary central library. Is a cultural sector, designed to be more than just a library, but providing a cultural experience.
