Neighbourhoods with higher level of italian residents that happens to have a lot of criminals, you can"t assume that the italians are criminals. Chicago school still has a huge influence even if it doesn"t exist anymore. Second thing chicago school has thought us, is that we can relate to the characteristics of the place. We can understand why neighbourhoods are the way they are. We can understand it until we see how it fits with the rest of the layers. Just like the chicago school, sampson uses maps. Place doesn"t matter as much as it used to.
