Sexual orientation: heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, the sexual continuum: with not only how we identify ourselves, but others, variations in secondary sex characteristics, hormones, chromosomes, sex organs so difficult to tell the sex of people. Intersexed people do exist in society: those that aren"t distinctly male or female: caster semenya case: shows how not everything is black and white. The sexual continuum: kinsey"s 7 point scale, kinsey: struggled to talk and research about sexuality. The world isn"t to be divided into sheep and goats. It"s a fundamental of taxonomy that nature rarely deals with discrete categories the living world is a continuum in each and every one of its aspects. In the 1950s, it was a very conservative era: extramarital sex = cheating, kinsey found that males had 85% premarital sex, 30-45% extramarital sex and. 70% sex with prostitutes: females only 50% premarital, 26% extramarital, also found that males had homosexual behaviour 37% of the time, females only.
