These generally include: reporting to police/ probation officer. People be released on own recognisance required to provide a surety (individual responsible for the accused) who provides cash. Cash is usually a last resort but the surety must prove they have the money. Accused will not show up to court. It is necessary for safety of public (accused is likely to commit another offence) It is necessary to maintain confidence in the administration of justice (determined on basis of seriousness of offense as well as potential for lengthy term of imprisonment) Persons charged with a criminal offense who are either waiting for bail determination. Persons who have been formally denied bail.
