Record conversation using tape recorder in the background. 4 moose hunting stories (about the moose that got away) People have to be careful about how they treat animals (especially moose) otherwise the meat mother will take them away. What is going on in these stories. All stories have the same basic plot line: problem with failed hunt, intelligence of moose (moose control the outcome of the hunt) Implies that the hunters were unworthy because of something they did. Therefore moose chose to not give itself up for the hunters. Reference to rifle shot (arthur reenacts the scene of shooting the rifle and drops arm downwards to illustrate the fall of the moos) Culture and the study of culture occurs in relation to time in two ways: synchronic perspective.
