Activism phase in 20th century what earth works is responding too working with gov"t and private sectors to minimize/curve damage happening to. 3rd wave of environmentalist more restorative phase 21st century (climate change, global warming), build more sustainable systems, newer solutions, curve the damage (more vocal/demand for these environmentalist) Moving towards a more active environmentalism developed for conservation purpose but now tourism use) Goal- keeps what we have enacted environment. Look at local public action to relate to specific communities (local & national pov) William corenen- if people continue to separate from nature than the non-human and natural world is problematic.
