Traits that inluence survival must already be in the populaion. Polar bears don"t live on the ice in the summer. In the fall they make a den in the snow and have cubs. Have metabolized to be able to eat seals and huning habit. Natural selecion doesn"t cause progression towards a goal. Favours variants with the most appropriate adaptaions for current environment. Early treatment of tuberculosis causes an increase in drug resistant bacteria. People don"t take anibioics for the full duraion - not long enough. Only used 1 drug - can stop resistant bacteria by using a combinaion of drugs to eliminate all the diferent strains over a long period of ime. Human traits that allow humans to be resistant to tuberculosis would be to have people that can recover from the disease to reproduce unil the populaion is all resistant - very unlikely. First word is capital and the other is lowercase.
