Impossible for humans to be decedents of monkey"s. Mammals 320 million years ago: dinosaurs overlap with mammals, megazostrodon: 200 million years ago, mammals: single lower jaw bone, endothermic, hairy, heterodont detention (different kinds of teeth), small, large eyes, feed mostly on insects. Plants only need sunlight to live so if for example sun was blocked by dust the plants would slowly die off. Herbivores larger herbivores would go first because they need more to live, then smaller herbivores will die off. Carnivores slowly died off because of herbivores dying off. Omnivores did okay opportunity, new niches. Consequence of the meteor: support for fast extinction, producers and carnivores are herbivores suffered. First almost-primate: carpolestes simpsoni: 75 million years ago toenails, sideways facing eyes. Type specimen: a particular specimen that carries the scientific taxonomic designation due to its features, the specimen standard. Ida 47 million years ago darwinius masillae.
