The important spices (no botanical names but know the common names) nutmeg makes two spices the seed which becomes nutmeg and outside the seed is aril (red) the outer covering and that gi(cid:448)es (cid:373)aize. Ide(cid:374)tif(cid:455) the seed a(cid:374)d aril for (cid:374)ut(cid:373)eg a(cid:374)d the (cid:271)ark for (cid:272)i(cid:374)(cid:374)a(cid:373)o(cid:374). They are called (cid:272)i(cid:374)(cid:374)a(cid:373)o(cid:374) sti(cid:272)ks, a(cid:374)d o(cid:374)(cid:272)e it is rolled i(cid:374)to s(cid:373)all o(cid:374)es it"s a quil. There is true cinnamon, and cinnamomum , cassia is not true cinnamon. The spices are taken from the inner bark.
