Vision/mission statement: provides guidance for the developer as to what kind of experience the user should have while playing the game. Game subsystems: these describe things which will be controlled by the software, components which must be developed. Player goal: document must describe the goal for the player (in terms of a game) In other types of software, this would be a description of what the user could expect to achieve using the software.
