In order to assess the sustainability of these foods we need to examine how they are produced. The unit consists of five concepts that will provide you with an overview of how we produce animal protein. It will specially cover the production of beef, milk, chicken, eggs, pork and fish and seafood. Each concept consists of a very short introduction, a short narrated video and a few additional videos. At the end of this unit, you will participate in a discussion related to the sustainability of meat, dairy, egg and fish production. In order to prepare for this discussion, you should think about sustainability issues/challenges/questions as you make your way through each of the 5 concepts.
