We the opponents believe that the hidden quarry proposed near rockwood, This issue is important because, as outlined in our report, many benefits can be incurred by the construction and operation of the hidden quarry. Our report will show that these benefits include economic gain to the municipality and township surrounding the quarry, as well as environmental benefits on-site gained through rehabilitation. We will also provide evidence that the construction and operation of the hidden quarry will increase ecosystem biodiversity due to the rehabilitation program initiated following the use of the quarry. Finally, we will contrast community concerns by showing evidence that alleviates problems that citizens are worried the quarry may cause, further strengthening our stance that the hidden quarry should go ahead. According to rutledge et. al (2014), a quarry is a pit, usually man-made, used to extract materials such as rocks and minerals.
