Power difference b/w the german and the people of the village (german tourist saw himself as superior) Taking spiritual objects from the spirit house in the village (missionaries assert that their religion of those whom they are going to the village to convert) Clearly and simply used from the indigenous people speaking as the tourists are stupid: anth+ tourism. Both have elements of going to other places and meeting new places. Opinion on various scenes; bikini woman: cholesterol scene- what westerners worry about vs. indigenous (superficial) Will eat anything they get their hands on, westerners have a luxury organics ect. Paying attention to your own culture, not always knowing the rules. Immersion in daily activities, don"t know whether what you"re doing is relevant to your research.
