Discuss some of the advantages and disadvantages that self-driving cars could bring to society. Personally, i believe self-driving cars would come with both pros and cons. Canadian car accident statistics resulted in 100,000+ fatal collisions, due to reckless drivers and drunk drivers. This issue can slowly reside, as less drunk drivers would be put behind the wheel, as the car would drive itself to destinations. On the other hand, cars are machines that hold the safety of human lives within them. Machines are imperfect, and can malfunction at anytime (battery outage, glitches etc. ) , which could be dangerous on the road as it would result in fatal arbitrary collisions: with the internet of things expanding to encompass vehicles, cybersecurity is becoming more important than ever. From the standpoint of cybersecurity, discuss some of the potential dangers of self-driving cars being connected to one another. Cyber security is the protection of computers from theft and hardware damage.
