Remote sensing from satellites before, now we need more data so they send out airforce hurricane hunters that fly into the storm and record wind speed, , pressure and temperature from sensors. There is this thing u attach to a balloon, there is a sensor on it that senses wind speed and direction, pressure etc. In recent years, there has been advances, our 5 day forcast is what the 3 day forcast was before. The removal or organic matter increased drying. Plan to repair for up to category 3. Apparently the posts weren"t in the grou7nd deep enough and there is overall structural and engineering problems. To restore coastal wetlands which will slow winds and help with the water. Let part of the river run freely to deposit silt and connect with wetlands. Focusing levees etc. on the east where winds are stongest.
