Rights of man (1791) and the age of reason. Introduced the concept of a guaranteed minimum income. Changes between then" and now" development/evolving of people over time. History ends when people realize the fullness of freedom. He predicted this would happen when humans embraced revolutionary changes towards freedom (i. e. the french revolution) The world is close to achieving this end of history" the world is on the verge of freedom. Look at facts on their own; there is no place for grand ideas (i. e. freedom) Humans in societies enter into relations of production which are independent of their will. The forces and relations of production constitute the economic base upon which the superstructure is erected. Hegel is right in terms of contradictions pushing history forward. Marx developed his theories of contradiction within society from the basis of hegel"s arguments. Many contemporaries argue that without hegel, there would be no marx. Marx substitutes one force (freedom/national spirit) for another (economics)
