Document Summary

Opponents would look at the distribution of one moment in the history of society and determine if it was a just distribution. People who have more wealth earned it and deserved it. Look at the history that led up to that distribution. Entitlement theory is (in section 1 of his paper) Justice in acquisition: did you acquire it in a just fashion. Justice in transfer: property, wealth or holdings that are being transferred from one owner to another. Make sure there were no injustice in transfers. Did things come to be acquired in a just way. Come to own something from right, if you have mixed your labor with it. Own your labor and you then condone that thing if you mix your labor with an object. Add value to something by transforming them to a new product. All you own is the added value, not the value of the full product. Mixing labor with it is not entirely clear.
