Beauty (four moments of the beautiful that was already a deduction) Transition from beauty and the sublime to art: Sch n= beautiful in german, sch n kunst = fine art. Art and its relation to the beautiful in nature. We need to make sure were clear of the beautiful in art and nature: Everyone ought to know if we make the distinctions between the beautiful and the agreeable. Art is not based on a concept we can"t convince someone who disagrees with us that something is beautiful. (pg. 145) This is why a young poet cannot be brought to the persuasion that your pomes are not beautiful. There is no way that people can persuade you, although they can intimidate you into agreeing with them. We can learn to appreciate art; you take english or music courses. You should be able to notice why they are beautiful, even if you didn"t before.
