It comes from an epic called the mahabharata, one of the oldests and longest epic in the world. Dhritarastra who had a son duryodhana & pandu had two sons. He chose his nephew over his son as heir to the throne. He tried to kill the sons of panu, he got him involved in a crooked dice scheme and he lost the kingdom. The sons of panu are the pandotas, and so he wants to drive this clan out of the country and that"s where the war starts. Krishna is an avatar of vishnu, he offers his services to both sides. Duryodhana chose the vassels and krishna was chosen by the pandus. The babimagita is a 2 hour long pep talk from kirsha that works. It begins dhritarastra is blind, so he is asking for the story to be told to him, then his son duryodhana, yudhis thivra made sounds they are ready for the war.
