Social structure is important to look at the self in who we are and how we understand ourselves in the larger globe. The self-concept of self-knowledge (the known or me) Your name, your personality traits/qualities, your interests/hobbies, where they are from, your age, psychological characteristics, etc. these are all known as self-concepts. A boy, red hair, etc. more toward physical characteristics. When we are young, who we are is shaped around physical characteristics would also think that their parents know them the best, but that changes to the individual knowing themselves the best; shifts as you get older. Researchers have not been able to agree on one definition self. Self includes the social identity (saying you are from guelph) connective to something bigger than yourself.
